W-H KIND, Inc.

Supporting special needs kids in the Whitman & Hanson MA communities

Whitman-Hanson KIND is a non-profit Massachusetts corporation and recognized by the IRS as a 501 (3) (c) charitable organization.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

W-H KIND empowers teachers, families, and caregivers to support special needs children with resources, while fostering kindness and inclusion in the Whitman and Hanson communities.

Coming Soon to Whitman and Hanson:

A special needs resource store for families, teachers, caregivers and therapists!

In early 2027, our goal is to open a store where families can buy, exchange, or consign new and gently used toys, books, puzzles, sensory items, and medical equipment, with a focus on children with neurological, physical, and emotional needs from birth to age 17. Everything we offer will stay affordable , and every purchase supports our mission. We will also offer items on a borrow basis.

To open our doors, we’re looking for donations of clean, gently used items, a storefront of about 800 to 1,000 square feet in Whitman or Hanson, founding sponsors and grant partners to help us raise $20,000 in start-up funds, and volunteers to sort, clean, and staff the store. If you can help, or know someone who can, contact us at info@whkind.org or text us at 508-245-3656.
